A few years ago I found these beautiful blue and white dishes and immediately fell in love. They’ve become part of our everyday dinnerware and blend easily with our plain white set when we want a more mixed look.
They turned out to be surprisingly versatile. When I was deciding what to hang above a cabinet, I realized we already had plenty of framed art. Looking through a drawer full of these plates, I thought they would look lovely on display — so I hung a few on the wall. Of course, that only encouraged me to collect more because I enjoy using them so much.
You can buy these dishes in a 20-piece set or in sets of four. The 20-piece set typically includes four each of dinner plates, salad/dessert plates, bowls and mugs with saucers. I love the variety of coordinating patterns included in the sets; they feel cohesive while still having a collected, layered look.
We use the shallow bowls for pasta, rice dishes and salads. Their depth is just right to hold dressings and sauces without spilling, so they’re practical as well as pretty.
The dinner and salad plates are delicate and well-proportioned; the patterned rim frames the food nicely and complements the bowls.
We hang the matching mugs on a mug rack and use them for daily coffee. The saucers double as little snack plates and are surprisingly handy for small servings or condiments.
What I appreciate most is how timeless these pieces feel. They work in any season and mix easily with other dinnerware. You can dress them up for a formal meal or keep things casual for everyday use.
The fruit bowls are the only piece I haven’t added to my collection yet, but I love their wavy stripe detail and have them on my wish list.
Simply seeing these dishes in the drawer brightens my day. Their combination of classic pattern and everyday practicality makes them a favorite in our home.
