Snow Days: Turn Winter Blues into Fun and Productivity

Snow Days Are Wonderful

There are those unexpectedly quiet days when snow keeps you at home, safe and snug. For anyone who is usually busy, they feel like a gift.

On a snow day the pressure eases. The calendar opens up and obligations pause for a while.

Suddenly there’s time to bake something warm, go sledding with the people you love, or step outside and taste a flake of fresh snow on your tongue.

It’s also a perfect excuse to curl up by the fire for a nap, read a good book, or simply sit and watch the soft white world through the window.

There’s something about a snow day that lifts your mood. The hush and the slower pace make it hard to stay down, so you find yourself smiling more and worrying less.

Those simple, unplanned hours are easy to call “awesome.” They let you rest, play, and reconnect with small pleasures that get lost on hectic days.

I first saw this sign over at House of Hepworths and fell for it immediately. I want one for my wall—something cheerful and unapologetic that reminds me to choose joy.

We’re still snowed in, and I have a feeling Thursday will be another cozy, not-sad, pretty awesome day.
