We recently did a major purge of our craft and wrapping supplies. In our previous home we had a dedicated craft room, which made it easy to keep everything organized. In this house we only have a single freestanding shelving unit for crafting — not as luxurious as a whole room, but it’s what we have for now. It’s still a work in progress and not quite photo-ready, but we’re making progress.
We had to pare down a lot of materials to avoid clutter and stress. The result felt freeing: less stuff, better focus, and a simpler system for storing the items we actually use.
Disclaimer: this is not my craft room.
While searching for craft room and wrapping station ideas, I found a fun YouTube video from a blogger named Kelli that shows how she organizes scrapbook and craft supplies. I love seeing how other people set up their spaces — it’s inspiring and often gives practical ideas you can adapt to smaller areas. Even if a big, beautiful craft room feels overwhelming, a clever storage solution can make crafting more enjoyable.

I especially like the small pegboard wrapping station pictured above. It’s compact yet highly functional, demonstrating that you don’t need a large room to create a useful, attractive workspace. A modest setup can still be very efficient.

This drop-leaf table makes a great compact gift-wrapping station. When not in use it folds down to save space, and when you need a work surface it provides plenty of room. Small, multi-purpose furniture pieces are ideal in tight spaces.

This simple idea keeps ribbon organized using items you likely already have. Reusing and repurposing household items is an easy, budget-friendly way to create order.

Small solutions like buckets, pegboards, and repurposed hangers can transform a cluttered shelf into an efficient wrapping station. These approaches keep items visible, accessible, and neatly contained.
