If I could design one room again and again, it would be the kitchen. Kitchens are my favorite spaces to plan and refine. I enjoy studying inspiration photos and noticing each deliberate choice—the cabinet styles, lighting, countertops, ceiling details, tile, floors, layout, and accessories. All of these elements working together create distinctive, beautiful rooms.
When I search for inspiration I don’t limit myself by room size or how grand a space might be. I collect ideas from everywhere and adapt the ones I love to suit my own home and budget. Even when a kitchen doesn’t resonate with me at first glance, I take a closer look to decide what I would change. That process of evaluating choices has helped me clarify my personal design style over the years.
This week I found several lovely kitchens I wanted to share. Below are photos that caught my eye and a short list of useful kitchen inspiration posts I refer to often. I hope they spark ideas for your next update.
