Hey friends! I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: I’ve been invited to participate in a rug design challenge with Annie Selke of Dash & Albert. I’ve admired Dash & Albert rugs for years, so when this opportunity came up, I couldn’t wait to say yes.
Designing a rug feels a bit surreal—me, creating a product? I was both excited and nervous the moment I accepted. That’s where you come in: I’d love for you to join me on this journey and help bring the design to life.
Gray and White Rug
This is my first time designing a product like this, so I’ll be leaning on your feedback and support. Your input will help shape the direction of the rug and make the process more fun and collaborative.

About the rug challenge
Fifteen digital influencers in the design and home décor space were invited to submit rug designs that reflect their personal aesthetic. Annie Selke and her team will review the entries, and the public will vote for the designs they’d like to see produced.
The designs will be shared on the Annie Selke Instagram page, and voting will determine which rugs move forward. The ten designs with the most votes between July 6 and July 20 will be produced and sold online by Dash & Albert, an Annie Selke company.
Gray and White Rug
I can hardly imagine what it would feel like to see a dream like this come true—my rug available through Dash & Albert. I’m picturing Jack, my golden doodle, proudly modeling the new design.
Will you help make this happen? The other participating bloggers are incredibly talented, so I’ll definitely need your support and votes once the competition begins.
I’d be so grateful for your votes during the competition.
Striped Runner
Competitions aren’t my natural territory, but I’m treating this as a chance to try something new—especially as I approach my 10th year blogging anniversary. It feels like the perfect moment to step outside my comfort zone and experiment with a new creative challenge. I’m excited to design a rug and even more excited to share the process with you.
What would your dream rug look like? Let’s dream together!
