Cozy season is almost here, and for us that means bringing out extra blankets. Below is a curated selection of cozy throw blankets I’m loving right now, plus a bit about the new rug we added to our living area.
Even though our home is still settling after renovation — with blue painter’s tape in a few spots and no window coverings in the living room yet — we’re focusing on making the space feel warm and inviting. Layering textiles like throws and rugs makes a big difference, even while projects are underway.
Thank you for following along with the progress photos and for your kind comments. Your support makes sharing these imperfect moments worth it.
We recently added a new rug to introduce warmth and texture to our small living area. I picked a neutral, textured rug that works well on its own or as a base for layering another color or patterned rug. It softens the room, complements our new floors, and even reminds us of the nearby sandy beach. Unlike many natural-fiber rugs that feel rough, this one is pleasantly soft. I also purchased a rug pad to keep it in place and add a little extra cushioning.
I’m excited to share more updates soon. With fall approaching, I’m ready for nesting season — arranging cozy corners, adding throws, and enjoying the softer, layered look of the season. If you’re interested in seasonal projects and gatherings, consider joining the HomeBody Gathering Place for the fall and holiday session; registration closes soon.
