Beadboard brings timeless charm and subtle texture to a room. Its cottage-like character makes spaces feel warm and inviting, which is why I’ve used it in several of our older homes and included beadboard wainscoting in our current house. I’m so taken with it that we’re adding beadboard to our new kitchen as well. Installation began on Friday, so I’ll share photos and details in an update post later this week to show how we’re using it.
For this Sunday Strolls & Scrolls edition, I’m sharing five beautiful rooms that showcase beadboard in different ways. Each example offers a quiet, approachable style and practical ideas for incorporating beadboard into your own home.

Sunday Strolls + Scrolls is a series inspired by interiors and outdoor spaces I discover while scrolling online. I look for rooms that feel like a sanctuary—spaces that are calming, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. I hope this series offers the same relaxed, leisurely feeling as a stroll through a charming neighborhood or a peaceful garden.
