Townhouse Powder Room Refresh + City Print Giveaway

Powder Bath Progress

Hi! It’s Kylee here. I’m a bit behind on sharing updates about our move into the townhouse—between work, caring for Bella and unpacking, settling in has taken longer than I expected. We had more stuff this time than I remember from our last move!

We even had a minor adventure getting our old leather sofas up the narrow staircase to the second-floor living room. I thought that might be my excuse to buy a new sofa, but my husband Lance was determined to save them. He engineered a plan to lift a bulky sofa over the balcony and through the sliding doors on the second floor. It was chaotic and hilarious. I have plenty of photos and will share the story and outcome in a future update.

For now, I wanted to share a quick update on our main floor powder room. This tiny bathroom is perfect for guests. Believe it or not, our townhouse has three and a half bathrooms—even though it’s small. Compared to our last place, a studio apartment with one bathroom, this feels like luxury!

I’ve been excited to refresh this small room ever since we bought the house. It’s fun to have more rooms to decorate and to give them a personal touch so they feel welcoming to visitors. We might do something bolder down the road like wallpaper or a wall stencil, but for now these simple updates make the room feel finished and inviting.

Gray Powder Bathroom Update

Because a powder room is small, even minimal changes go a long way. I started by swapping in a fresh hand towel, adding a pretty soap dispenser, and placing a small bouquet of flowers to brighten the countertop.

Bathroom Update - Roses in Blue Vases

I’ve been collecting blue glass vases for a while. They look so sweet with these mini pink roses and add a delicate pop of color to the neutral palette.

City Prints - Albie Designs Portland and Seattle Artwork

Artwork was a priority for me, but I didn’t want generic prints—I wanted pieces with personal meaning. When I discovered a collection of city prints that represent places important to us, I knew they would be perfect. My husband and I grew up in Portland and now live in Seattle, so prints that reflect those cities felt special and meaningful for our home.

Aren’t they fun?

A few practical details: the frames I used aren’t included with the artwork—I picked mine up at a local store. The wall color in the powder room is Seal Grey by Glidden, which pairs nicely with the blue glass and soft pink flowers.

If you missed the story of our new house, you can find the earlier post on our move for more background.
