I’m popping in with a bit of a plant crisis. Forgive the poor cell phone photo — this is an emergency and I didn’t get a chance to take better shots today, so this one will have to do for now.
After that beautiful cottage farmhouse post, it’s a rude return to reality, but here we are. I wish I could move into that house instead of moving on, but for now I have to deal with my plant problem.
My fiddle leaf fig is in trouble.

Remember my fiddle leaf fig? When I first shared it, a few of the leaf edges were turning brown and you all gave excellent advice. I thought I was overwatering, so I cut back on watering.
For a while it seemed to be improving. New, bright green leaves appeared and I imagined it growing bigger and healthier. Then, more recently, I started seeing increased browning along the leaf edges, stems developing brownish discoloration, and leaves began dropping to the floor.
I’m really worried I’m killing it.
Should I move it to a sunnier spot? Should I increase watering? I haven’t been overwatering lately, so could it be underwatered now? I honestly need guidance.
I love my plants, so it’s frustrating that I can’t keep this one thriving.
Sincerely,
Plant Killer
