When we began our side yard project earlier this year, I imagined it would be finished by spring so we could enjoy it all summer. That didn’t happen — the work has moved slowly and the project isn’t complete yet. I keep hoping for mid-fall, but while progress has been frustrating, it didn’t stop us from improving another area of the yard we could use right away.

I love quick projects that immediately change how a space feels. At our previous house we built a simple firepit on a pea-gravel patio and it instantly made the yard feel welcoming and purposeful. We planned to add a firepit to the backyard patio here, but for safety reasons wanted it farther from the house. Since we didn’t have time to prepare a new gravel area this year, that idea had to wait.

Not long ago I discovered an easy way to add atmosphere to our patio: the Fire Fountain by Aquascape. This compact fountain was perfect for our space. There were no contractors to wait for, no messy installation, and it took only minutes to set up. Exactly the kind of update I love.

The Fire Fountain quickly became a beautiful focal point where our family gathers. The gentle bubbling of water combined with the warm flicker of flame creates a soothing, cozy atmosphere — ideal for cool evenings. When the night ends you simply extinguish the flame, unplug the fountain, let it cool and cover it until next time.

This small addition gave our patio the ambience it needed and brought the family together in a simple, immediate way.

HOW TO ORDER:
If you’re ready to buy or want to explore other models and sizes, you can find details and ordering information directly from Aquascape. The medium model shown here worked well for our patio.
Two useful accessories to consider are paraffin oil for the flame and decorative river rocks to finish the look.
