Just wanted to share something I’m really excited about: The Bloom Workshop. Created and hosted by Michaela and Ashley from The Sweet Season, these creative workshops bring together blogging, social media, photography, styling and design in beautiful venues around the country. They’re designed to help creative entrepreneurs, bloggers and artists grow their skills and their businesses.

The Bloom Workshop covers practical topics like how and why to blog, social media best practices, design and styling, plus photography techniques. Each event includes hands-on sessions, styled photo shoots to practice what you learn, and a Q&A panel with experienced speakers. The format makes it easy to absorb new ideas and immediately apply them to your blog or business.

One new offering I’m especially excited about is Bloom Bash, a two-day, in-depth version of the Bloom Workshops taking place next fall. I’ll be the keynote speaker in Seattle and will teach sessions on styling, blogging and social media throughout the event. Bloom Bash also includes a cocktail party and book signing the first evening that will be open to the public. The Seattle Bloom Bash is scheduled for October 8–9, 2015, and it promises an intensive, friendly environment for learning and networking.

What to expect at Bloom Bash

Bloom Bash is designed to cultivate a passionate community of creative entrepreneurs and provide the tools to elevate blogs and creative businesses. Over the two days you’ll find in-depth instruction on blogging, social media, photography, styling, design and florals. The event features a team of talented speakers, local partners, styled shoots for hands-on practice, and opportunities to connect with other creatives. Attendees leave refreshed, inspired and equipped with practical knowledge to grow their work.

When I started blogging seven years ago, there were far fewer resources for growing a creative business. Workshops like Bloom fill that gap by offering focused instruction and real-world practice. Whether you’re just starting or already established, you’ll gain practical tips, make meaningful connections, and leave with tools to take your creative business forward. Highlights often include an excellent swag bag and a professional headshot session—usually shot by a pro photographer—which alone can be a significant value.

Bloom Workshop Discount

For a limited time there are special discounts on workshop tickets. These offers make it easier to attend with a friend or to give a workshop as a gift. There are a variety of 2015 workshops across the country, including shorter La Petite Bloom sessions, so you can pick the format and location that fits your needs.

If you’re serious about improving your blog, business, photography or styling, attending a Bloom event is a great way to invest in your creative future. You’ll return inspired, better connected and with new skills you can put into practice right away.
