Hi friends! Saturday brought so much sunshine — it was the perfect reminder that spring is truly on its way. My magnolia tree outside the kitchen window is about to burst into pink blooms, and the warm weather seems to be helping it along. Are you finally done with snow where you live? I know I’m relieved to see warmer days ahead.
I’ll share more updates from around the house later this week, including answers to your kitchen remodel questions — I’ve been a little slow in responding but I’ll get back to them soon.
For now, here’s a little peek at life lately through photos from our Instagram accounts.

You can never have too many plants. We have greenery on walls and tables, and I enjoy tending them — watering, chatting, and even giving them names. Plants bring energy and life into the home, and I find caring for them calming.

This new palm in the dining room is named Pete — he’s settling in nicely.

Jack has been up to his usual antics. This week he got so excited when Courtney visited that he somehow leaped onto the dining room table. We were all surprised — Jack will be six soon but he still thinks he’s a puppy!

My daughters and I took a weekday break for brunch at The Fat Hen, a small local spot with delicious food. Our favorite is the Eggs Benedict, and we always share a pot of French press coffee. It’s one of those cozy places we love to return to.

We previously featured The Fat Hen in an “Out to See” post. I plan to bring back more of those posts when we visit favorite local spots — there’s so much I want to share about visiting Seattle.

Even at home we try to eat well. Kylee made a beautiful smoothie bowl this week: blended banana, frozen raspberries, and almond milk, topped with banana slices, bee pollen, raspberries, chia and hemp seeds, coconut, and mango. It was as tasty as it was pretty.

We hosted a giveaway for Pure & Lovely in our Facebook group and had fun assembling packages to send to the winners. If you’d like to join the group you can find details on our site — we enjoy sharing tips, giveaways, and community inspiration there.

Note: I have a silver plush pumpkin propping up my computer screen in my office — because we like to keep things classy around here.
Little touches like that make working from home more fun.

Many friends have been kind to share news about my upcoming book, Simple Decorating, releasing next Saturday. I’m so grateful for that support. If you haven’t entered the giveaway yet, note that we’re hosting one related to the book — and we recently fixed a video that some readers couldn’t see before.
The book is available online now and will be in stores soon. I loved a photo Allison from The Festive Farmhouse shared of her copy on Instagram — it made my day.

My daughters and I have been busy planning and shooting photos for future projects. It’s rewarding to work together on creative ideas and home styling.

We also did a bit of tidying since family visited this weekend.

There were doggie play dates, plenty of backyard playtime, and shared sunsets at the window that felt like small celebrations.

We paused to appreciate simple pleasures — a quiet moment, a golden sunset, dogs curled up after a long day of play.

Spring invites the dogs outside more, and their joy is contagious.

We found comfort in familiar routines and simple joys, and this weekend our house is full of family tucked into cozy beds.

Happy Sunday, friend!
