IIf you’re a blogger looking to increase traffic and grow your blog, this post is for you. I haven’t shared many blogging posts recently, and that’s on me. I haven’t always felt like I had all the answers, but I follow and learn from many smart people. Today I’m pointing you to some of those trusted voices.
With so many people offering blogging advice, how do you find reliable guidance? The bloggers featured in the video below are definitely worth listening to. There’s a lot to learn, but following the right people and applying solid advice makes a big difference.
I watched a Better Blogging Google Hangout about growing your blog and increasing traffic, featuring a few blog friends (including Beckie from Infarrantly Creative and Brooke from All Things Thrifty, along with Brooke’s brother). The discussion covers SEO and keywords but also shares practical, actionable tips that any blogger can use, regardless of how technical you want to get.
There are so many new bloggers these days, especially in home and DIY. It can feel overwhelming and easy to get lost in a crowded niche. This video is geared toward new bloggers, but even experienced bloggers can pick up useful insights. I certainly did.
I’ve been blogging since 2007, back in the earlier days of the medium. I didn’t know a lot of what I know now when I started, and I don’t know everything now either. We’re fortunate to have talented mentors and knowledgeable bloggers who share their experience and help others grow their blogs and businesses.
Early in my blogging journey, the best advice I received was to leave thoughtful comments and stay true to myself. That remains sound advice and a great place to begin. These days, with so many blogs competing for attention, there’s more to consider, but authenticity and engagement still matter.
