Pellegrino Lime & Blueberry Ice Drink in Blue Mason Jar

summer drink recipe

Just popping in with a refreshing summer drink recipe and a quick note about the blue Mason jars you may have seen in my house tour — they’re the limited edition, vintage-inspired Ball Mason Jars. They’re charming, practical, and perfect for sipping on warm days.

I found them at Target and picked up an extra box because, in my opinion, you can never have too many blue Mason jars. These come in a set of six and work beautifully as drinking glasses, vases, or for simple Mason jar decor projects.

Blue jars used to be expensive if you wanted authentic vintage pieces, but these new releases make them accessible without the vintage price tag. Besides looking lovely on the table, they add a cheerful touch to summer gatherings and everyday moments.

Summer drink recipe! A delicious drink for a blue mason jar!

With the sun shining today, I mixed up this easy, low-calorie summer refresher. It’s simple to make, naturally colorful, and doesn’t rely on added sugars or artificial ingredients — perfect for a light, flavorful drink that still feels special.

To make it: fill a blue Mason jar with crushed ice or frozen berries — or both. I love using frozen blueberries for extra chill and flavor. Pour cold San Pellegrino mineral water over the ice and berries, squeeze in a little fresh lime juice, add a mint leaf and a lime wedge if you like, and finish with a stripey straw for a cheerful touch.

The result is refreshing, pretty, and effortless — a great non-alcoholic option for hot afternoons or porch-side relaxation.

You can easily customize this drink based on what you have on hand. Try adding a splash of frozen cranberry juice or a small amount of flavored San Pellegrino if you prefer a sweeter profile. Keep in mind some flavored bottles are sweeter than others, so adjust to taste.

Most importantly, serve it in a blue Mason jar. The jar elevates the presentation and gives the drink a vacation-by-the-lake vibe, even if you’re just relaxing in your backyard.

Enjoy!

These Mason Jars were sent to me by the Ball Jar people. I liked them enough to buy more on my own — they’re that great.
