It was another inspiring week in blogland. I regularly update my Inspiring Finds page with fresh ideas, and this week I saved several posts worth sharing.
Amy from My Pink Life has been a blogging friend for a long time, and I always enjoy seeing what she’s up to. Her kitchen ideas are charming — check out the cute kitchen cart and styling shown in the photo above.
White Slipcovers
Nester invited friends to help her make a slipcover, and the result is adorable. If you missed it previously, there’s a simple slipcover tutorial that’s worth a look. I especially love the little pleated skirt trim on custom slipcovers — details really matter.
Nester mentioned she wished she had smoothed the slipcover before photographing, but that’s life with slipcovers. They rarely look perfect at every moment, and that relaxed imperfection is part of their charm.
Also worth seeing is Tiny Twig’s slipcover makeover. She transformed an ordinary office chair into a stylish piece — a great reminder that creative updates can make a big difference.
DIY Headboard
For anyone considering white slipcovers, I use them in my own home and adore them. I’ll post a detailed “The Truth Uncovered: White Slipcovers” entry soon to share a few practical issues I’ve encountered so you’ll know what to expect.
Another inventive idea I spotted is a headboard made from kitchen cabinet doors. It’s a clever reuse of materials and a striking focal point for a bedroom. Remodelaholic posted a full tutorial if you want step-by-step guidance.

I also love the idea of using maps as wallcovering — a creative and personal way to add pattern and storytelling to a room. Country Living showcased a beautiful example, and Happy Turtle shared more decorating inspiration using maps. I’ve been collecting maps with this exact project in mind.

I adore these little zinc tags!
You can write on them with chalk — how cute are they?
The jute hangers are lovely too. I plan to use them on baskets and bins in my pantry to improve organization; they feel both practical and charming.
You can find the tags for sale in my shop if you’d like to use them for your own organizing projects.
Have you seen StyleRoom?
StyleRoom is a large community site for home decoration that originated in Europe and now includes U.S. entries. You can upload your own rooms or browse ideas from contributors around the world. It’s fun to explore different decor styles — there are many entries from Sweden that are particularly inspiring. It’s a nice place to get fresh ideas and see how others style their spaces.
Happy browsing! And don’t miss yesterday’s big link up — there were tons of great inspirations to explore.
