My daughter and I looked for simple, budget-friendly ideas to create a fun and beautiful wedding—here’s one of our favorites.
We created a candy bar and placed it in the center of the reception so it doubled as both a decorative focal point and a sweet destination for guests. We purchased candy from local beach candy shops and coordinated the colors to match the wedding palette. To tie the display to the beach theme, we included starfish accents and a framed “love is sweet” sign, along with framed photos of the bride and groom.
To keep starfish and other lightweight decorations upright, sticky tack works really well to anchor them so they don’t slide.
We provided muffin papers so guests could serve themselves jelly beans and walk around easily with their treats.
In addition to the open candy display, we prepared a large basket of pre-bagged candy that served as party favors for guests to take home.
This candy bar idea is versatile and would be perfect for weddings, parties, graduations, or other celebrations.
