Love the Home You Have: Holiday Decorating Ideas for Any Space

love-the-home-you-have-the-inspired-roombook page from Love the Home You Have

Are you feeling inspired for the holiday season, or a bit overwhelmed (or both)? Maybe, like me, you’re partly in denial. I’m excited, but I’m also wishing our kitchen would be finished in time for Thanksgiving so I wouldn’t be Christmas decorating around a heavy sink sitting in a box on the dining room floor.

That’s often how it goes. Most of us don’t have the perfect house or the perfect circumstances for a perfect holiday. Even when life feels balanced, expectations for how the season should look can distract from what we actually want it to be.

I was surprised to see my Instagram fill with fully decorated homes for Christmas as early as November 1. That feels early to me—even I have defended having a tree on Thanksgiving in the past.

Whether you’re eager to baste the turkey and decorate the halls or wondering how you’ll pull everything together in time to host or celebrate, I’m launching a new series this year.

This series is meant to inspire more joy in the season for everyone, no matter the size, shape, or condition of your home. I’ll share simple, practical ways to transform your home, your heart, and your holidays. While I’ll offer plenty of decorating and gifting ideas, the focus goes beyond that: it’s about savoring the season at home, right where you are.

Love the Home You Have: Simply Inspired Holidays begins here on The Inspired Room this Monday.
