When Melinda read about our tray tiling project, she and her husband decided to try a little tray customization themselves. Here’s what she sent us:
My husband and I were inspired by your DIY tray project from a couple of weeks ago. My sister is a huge tea drinker, so I decided to make her a tea tray for Christmas using an old British ad slogan. Here are some photos from the process. Thanks for the daily dose of inspiration! – Melinda

Melinda found the tray at Pier 1 and selected the striped and floral scrapbook paper at a local craft store. She printed the “Tea Revives You” graphic at home and used liquid resin—the same kind we used on our project—available at Michael’s. The whole project cost around $25, making it an affordable, personalized Christmas gift for a tea lover.
Thanks to Melinda for sharing her photos and instructions. If you’ve made a customized tray or tried a similar craft, we’d love to see your results—send us your pictures and inspire others.
