Can you believe December is almost here? I’m thrilled our small dining nook is finally finished, and I had so much fun creating a simple Christmas and winter table. I’ll be adding more holiday touches throughout the week, but even now the table feels cozy and welcoming.
With our first grandson expected (Courtney’s baby is due February 14th), I’m already dreaming about the memories we’ll share at the table during Christmas and all year long. I can’t wait for those special moments together.
I couldn’t resist the little gingerbread house and snowflake appetizer plates—they were just the right festive accent to layer over our versatile white dinner set. I don’t own a complete set of holiday dishes, so I love using small seasonal pieces mixed with everyday items. A while back I added greenish hobnail goblets to my collection, and they fit perfectly with the other pieces I pulled together for this table. Mixing and matching lets me reuse these items through different seasons. All the sources are listed below for reference.
I’m already imagining Christmas mornings and cozy evenings around this little table with children and grandchildren. Those moments are what make decorating so meaningful.
Happy decorating and memory-making, friends!
