Welcome to our home — I’m so glad you’re here to join our cozy Christmas house tour. Step inside and enjoy the simple, warm touches we added this season.
We made a short Christmas video of our home. If you’d like to watch, click to open YouTube and view full screen.
If you’re new, hello! We moved into this little brick house in Seattle a little over two years ago and have fallen in love with the mix of city conveniences and quiet views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. This is our first holiday season here without ongoing renovations, so the house finally feels ready for festive decor.

Kitchen remodel details, small tree and other sources are noted throughout the post.
We remodeled the kitchen and completed a few projects this year, so I was excited to decorate without feeling like the house was a construction zone. For now, we’re enjoying settled, cozy days and evenings by the lights and greenery.

For me, Christmas decorating is about creating a warm, memorable atmosphere more than anything. We focus on meaningful traditions: family time, faith, the pups, and a few little rituals that bring back good memories. To set the mood, I add simple greenery, twinkling lights, cozy textiles, and a few whimsical ornaments that make us smile.

Life moves fast and sometimes traditions get shelved in the name of slowing down. We try not to skip everything — a handful of familiar decorations still spark family stories and keep celebrations feeling comforting and nourishing.

Non-Christmas kitchen remodel sources are available in previous posts.

Yes, we have two Dutch doors — I love them both. The boxwood wreath and tree doormat add an easy seasonal touch to our entry without feeling overdone.

Hallway lights and styling details reflected in earlier posts.
This little front entry hall is one of my favorite spots. A simple boxwood garland, a few stars, and soft lighting make the space feel inviting without being fussy.

Galvanized wall hooks and bench styling keep things practical and pretty for guests.

The botanical prints and a simple bench with a scarf create a cozy vignette in the entry. Small details like that add warmth without requiring a lot of effort.
Framed chalkboard and zinc card holder are practical holiday touches.

AWWW — our pups are part of the holiday fun. I’ve wrapped just a couple of gifts so far and still have time to finish — that seems to be my usual pace.

Our Christmas tree is relaxed and reflective of our home: informal, layered, and full of personality. Even though our dogs still investigate the ornaments, we tuck a few favorites up high to keep them safe.

Window shades, daybed and knit blanket create cozy seating by the tree.

Sectional styling for family gatherings and cozy movie nights.
I can’t resist pups in red flannel scarves — they’re an instant holiday mood booster.

Galvanized metal houses and small decor items add subtle holiday charm around the room.

Our diffuser is always on with winter blends — it fills the house with scents like peppermint and festive spice, which instantly feels like Christmas.

Stockings, tree collar and small accents round out the room’s seasonal look.

Snowmen marshmallows and festive treats make simple moments feel special.

Guest bedroom touches and holiday accents keep the upstairs feeling welcoming for visitors.

Luke’s bedroom has a small tree and seasonal accents that make his space feel festive.
My master bedroom is sprinkled with a few tabletop trees and white lights to keep things calm and cozy through the winter. I sometimes leave a simple birch tree up year-round because I love the soft glow at night.
Tin luminaries, doormat and wreath create a cheerful entry.
Before you go, one more photo of Jack — he always brings a smile and seems to believe the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to be enthusiastic about it.
