HHello, friends! Thanks for your patience while I’ve been juggling extra projects and haven’t posted as often as I’d like. Life has been a little busier than usual, but I’m excited to share a quick update on what I’ve been working on. (If you missed my post about creating continuity in your home decor, you can find it on my site.)
Here are a few things keeping me busy lately.
I have a new book manuscript due in a couple of weeks — I can’t wait to tell you more. I think it might become one of my favorites.
At the same time I’m preparing for a new book launch. My organizing book, Simple Organizing, will be released next week. Balancing writing and launching books simultaneously has been a challenge, but a fun one.
We also have several exciting projects around the house. I hope to share a spring update soon with photos and progress.
Outdoor work is underway, and I’m looking forward to sharing more projects this season. We’ve got a brand-new backyard project finishing up soon, and I can’t wait to show it to you.
One overdue item we’re finally resolving is the gate for our side yard. This project has dragged on for two years, but the new gate is on its way. If you’re curious about the inspiration for the gate, I’ve written about it before.

For a little laugh — our neighbors have had quite the view this past year. A stylish gate or a makeshift dog barricade? Either way, it’s been a conversation starter.
On the bright side, we finally removed the blue fitted sheet from my son’s window. We installed new plantation shutters and they look fantastic. I’ll be sharing photos soon, along with the bedroom makeover — my new bed arrived and I love it.

This year we’re launching several of our own home products. The first items are two rugs created with Dash & Albert / Annie Selke. We recently received the sample of the striped rug with the Swiss cross trim and are thrilled with how it looks in the kitchen. (I was so eager to see it I hadn’t let the edge relax yet.)
That opportunity came thanks to your votes in the rug contest — I’m so grateful. I’ve admired Dash & Albert rugs for years, so this collaboration feels like a dream come true.

Above was our Photoshop mockup for the competition; I think it’s close to the real thing.
The real rug!

Both rugs will be available for purchase soon. I’ll share details as they become available.
Hope you’re having a wonderful week. I have family visiting for Easter, so I’m doing some spring cleaning and will be photographing my master bedroom makeover this week. I can’t wait to show you how it turned out.
