Normally when I write about building character I’m referring to adding charm to your home. Today, though, I’m talking about a different kind of character: the ways we raise our children. I recently wrote a piece for (in)courage about parenting—and before you head there, I have some exciting family news to share: both of my daughters have started blogs!
I introduced you to my oldest daughter Kylee’s blog some time ago. In one of her posts she accidentally revealed the inside of my rarely-cleaned oven while sharing a Thanksgiving story, which was equal parts hilarious and mortifying. Now my younger daughter has joined the blogging world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Courtney is delightful—funny, warm, and full of personality. Her new blog captures that spirit, and I think you’ll enjoy reading her posts. One recent entry highlights some of our favorite local shops and shows her playful voice and eye for detail.
If you’re curious about how we try to nurture strong character in our children, I encourage you to read my contribution to (in)courage, where I share practical ways we’ve woven character-building into everyday family life. It’s honest, humble, and rooted in real parenting moments rather than theory.
So there you have it: me and my girls, all blogging together!
