Living on the Washington coast means our outdoor furniture faces salty air and seasonal weather year‑round. This summer we refreshed our porch with new POLYWOOD pieces that are built to handle the elements while keeping a clean, classic look.
POLYWOOD appealed to us because it performs well in our Northwest climate and requires minimal upkeep. Key features we love:
Weather resistant
Low maintenance
Built in the USA
Made from recycled plastic
Backed by a 20-year warranty

The POLYWOOD pieces we chose:
Two white rocking chairs in a Chippendale‑inspired style for lazy mornings and evenings on the porch.
A charming bench with a striped cushion that doubles as a favorite perch for our dogs to watch the neighborhood.
Two taller side tables that work well for serving, coffee, lunch, or as a compact workspace for a laptop.
I also added a kids’ bench with a buffalo check cushion and a console table for another deck — I’ll share those in a follow‑up post since they’re set up in the backyard.
Everything feels fresh against our white railings and brightens the porch. Small accents like summer floral pillows and a new outdoor lamp complete the look and add comfort for long afternoons outside.

I also planted a dwarf lilac in a new white planter on the porch; I’m hoping it blooms next year. The planters tie in nicely with the furniture and reinforce the fresh, coastal feel.
