Hello dearies!!
I’m so happy to be back sharing with you. I just returned from a short weekend trip to New York and I barely made it home before jumping back into life at home.
I intentionally traveled light — no laptop or my usual camera, just my phone, a small point-and-shoot, and a carry-on. It felt good to be mostly unplugged for a few days. I savored every minute of the getaway.
Want to see what I was up to?
I lingered in cozy cafes, sipping cappuccinos and watching the world go by.
I enjoyed leisurely meals at welcoming restaurants, savoring both the food and the lively atmosphere.
I did a fair bit of window shopping in SoHo, stopping in boutiques to admire the displays and the carefully curated pieces.
I wandered charming streets and admired the city’s historic architecture, taking time to appreciate the details that give New York its character.
I glimpsed little pieces of the city’s past — details that hint at stories held in brick and stone.
I took a moment to breathe the sea air, enjoying the contrast between the water’s quiet and the city’s energy.
This trip was special because most of the weekend was a celebration: my daughter’s college graduation and Mother’s Day. I spent the time with my oldest daughter, my mom, and my sister, who snapped one of these photos.
Oh, and I met up with Kate and Nate — memorable encounters I’ll share more about soon. For now, I’m home and planning to spend time with my husband and son.
Stay tuned for more about my big New York adventure, plus details on a $250 gift card giveaway.
So happy to be home again!
