Let’s catch up. As the new year begins, I want to pause and say thank you for your continued support and friendship. Your comments and visits here and on social media mean a great deal. Even the brief “me too” replies or quick updates about your projects are a welcome reminder that there’s someone reading on the other side of this screen. I genuinely enjoy your cheery hellos, answers to my questions, and the questions you send back — they make this space feel connected and encouraging. I appreciate that so much.
I know there are countless people to follow and millions of blogs offering inspiration, so the time you spend here is truly appreciated. Thank you for choosing to visit.
One of my favorite parts of blogging is getting to know you. In past “get to know you” posts I’ve asked about your home and your decorating style, and I’ve loved reading your responses and learning where you live and what inspires you.
Today I want to hear your thoughts on current design trends. I appreciate many different styles and prefer not to be boxed into just one, which lets me keep options open and explore freely. That said, it’s useful and fun to stay aware of what’s popular. The best approach is to incorporate what you truly love, whether it’s trendy or timeless. With so many design directions available, there’s no need for everyone to look the same — individuality and creativity are what make a home feel personal.
I’m curious about your perspective on how home decor and design styles are evolving. Are you following the latest trends, or do you stick with what you’ve always loved? There’s no right or wrong answer — it’s simply a great topic to discuss. What styles or furniture looks appeal to you right now? Which colors are you drawn to? What design elements are catching your eye at the moment?
Even if your current home doesn’t reflect your latest design crushes, I’d still love to hear what you think. Sometimes inspiration lives in ideas more than in the things we already own.
