Remember when I mentioned having trouble finding large glass lamps and ended up making a DIY glass bottle lamp? Recently I found several beautiful, sizeable glass lamps at HomeGoods and couldn’t resist placing a pair on my console cabinet.

These lamps aren’t as massive as my oversized glass jar lamp, but they make a strong visual statement and add lovely height to the room. Large lamps are an easy way to anchor a space and bring balance to your styling.

One of the best features of these glass lamps is the cork lid that lifts off, letting you change the contents seasonally or for special occasions. I like them simply empty, but they’re also perfect for filling with ornaments for the holidays, shells and sand for summer, pinecones for fall and winter, postcards and mementos for a personalized touch, or faux florals for an easy, low-maintenance display.
They can even serve as small terrariums or display cases for collectibles—just make sure anything inside suits the lamp’s size and the lightbulb’s heat. I haven’t filled mine yet, but I enjoyed gathering ideas and plan to try several arrangements.
Below are some inspirational examples that show how versatile fillable glass lamps can be. Use them as a seasonal swap-out to keep your decor feeling fresh without a big investment.

Simple swaps—seasonal ornaments, shells, pinecones, faux florals, books or personal keepsakes—make these lamps a flexible and stylish element in your home decor.
It’s a fun, effortless way to refresh a room for every season.
