Even though our home is currently in the thick of several big, messy projects, I can’t resist Fall nesting. I love bringing pumpkins, gourds, cozy throws and seasonal candles into the mix. Nesting for fall gives corners of the house a finished, comforting look even while renovations are underway, and those small vignettes remind me that not everything is undone. Creating tiny pockets of autumn cheer makes a big difference, no matter what else is happening around your home or in life.
Below is a peek at how fall looks around my house right now. I’ve sprinkled warm textures, natural accents and a few whimsical touches into entryways, mantels and porches to capture that cozy, lived-in feeling. These simple touches — a cloche over a mercury glass pumpkin, a cluster of plush pumpkins on a bench, sunflowers in a vase — are easy to arrange and bring instant seasonal charm.
