While I’m drawn to the quieter side of autumn, the vivid colors of changing leaves are equally inspiring. Nature provides endless ideas for color and texture, and each fall I’m especially taken with warm tones—rust, coral, and orange—that bring energy and warmth into a home.
Over the years I’ve woven these hues into different rooms: curtains in my office, accents in the guest bedroom, touches in my son’s room, and occasional pillows or accessories throughout the house. These colors add a bright, cheerful note to everyday life and make rooms feel cozier during the cooler months.
Below are a few fall-inspired interiors that use rust, orange, and coral to striking effect. Each image shows how a thoughtful pop of color can refresh a space without overwhelming it.
