It wouldn’t feel like fall at home without filling the rooms with the season’s comforting scents. I love wandering through stores and sampling every candle I see — sniffing jars is one of my favorite pastimes. I might be the worst customer for a sales clerk, pulling candles out and inhaling each one to find the perfect fragrance.
A few days ago my daughters and I visited Anthropologie and nearly created a scene while we tried to smell some cute little candles stacked in a wooden display. The pile was a bit unstable to begin with, and our eager hands didn’t help. Still, it was worth the risk to discover new scents.
I brought home a “Sweet Vanilla Cinnamon” candle (shown as #2 above), which quickly became a favorite. The scent is warm and inviting, and I love its jar as much as the fragrance.
A home that smells delicious instantly feels cozier this time of year. Lighting a seasonal candle can transform a room, evoking comfort and warmth whether you’re hosting friends or enjoying a quiet evening with family.
