disclaimer: the women in this photo were the ones in the hall at Blissdom when we took the picture. there are many other wonderful home bloggers and decorators!

As I mingled with so many warm, inspiring home bloggers at Blissdom, I was struck by how both similar and distinct we are. We all love our homes, yet each of us brings a unique perspective and way of finding beauty in everyday life.

I’m inspired by each of these women through their blogs. It’s not always that I adopt every idea they share (though I often do!), but I love seeing their creativity, point of view, and personal voice shine through. I visit their blogs to borrow a little of their energy and inspiration to brighten my own day.

These women encourage me to be a better version of myself simply by being who they are. I don’t need to be like them or as popular; I can simply be inspired by them. They give generously from the heart—offering fresh ideas, inviting ways to reinterpret familiar things, and small sparks of encouragement. Watching them try new things pushes me to step beyond my comfort zone, and seeing their confidence reminds me I can share my own voice with others.

That’s why I feel nothing but support for these online women (both those pictured and many more). While the blogging world can feel competitive and some worry about supporting “the competition,” I usually don’t see it that way. I’m eager to champion women who share their talents and lives. It takes courage to present yourself to the world, and these women do it time and again with grace. Their openness is truly inspiring.

If you haven’t started a blog and worry it’s too late because so many already exist, let me reassure you: there’s room for everyone. Blogging isn’t a race to have the most traffic or the most beautiful home; it’s an opportunity to be yourself, tell your story, and connect with others. Everyone can find their community online—whether you’re writing or reading—and build encouragement and friendship there.

You have something valuable to offer.
You bring life experiences and passions that others can learn from.

Whether you share through a blog, church group, workplace, PTA, or another circle, you can make a difference by opening your heart and sharing your stories. Your presence matters.

As a blog reader, you’re an important part of this community. Your comments, shares, and even quiet support encourage writers and help blogs thrive. Thank you for being part of that conversation.

I’m glad you’re part of blogland—whether you read, share, or do both. I hope you find as much inspiration from these remarkable women online as I do.
