Hi there! I’m Courtney, Melissa’s daughter, and I’m excited to share a full tour of my Seattle studio apartment.
About a year and a half ago I moved into my very first place. Having my own apartment has been a dream come true — a cozy, light-filled space that feels distinctly mine. I’m grateful for every bit of it.
If you followed along when I first moved in, you might have seen the empty apartment tour and a few sneak peeks in past posts. I also share updates regularly on Instagram, but today I’ll give a more complete, official tour here.

Before this apartment I lived in a very small bedroom with my sister Kylee, so having a 600-square-foot studio feels luxurious to me. A quick note: the photos in this post were taken on different days, so you may spot things moved around or seasonal decor that’s no longer there.
I’ll note product sources throughout the post; if you prefer, you can view a consolidated source list separately.

This is the main living area. My favorite feature is the generous natural light — the entire back wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, so the space stays bright year-round. I work with my mom for The Inspired Room and often work from home in this spot.

White vintage tea kettle / White toaster / Pink pot
This is my kitchen. It’s compact but functional for the way I cook. Lately I’ve been enjoying experimenting with my Instant Pot and trying simple new recipes.

Gold wall grid / Mug tree / Coffee maker
I have a small coffee station because coffee is essential in our house — thanks to my mom for the influence. The setup is compact and cheerful, and it works well for daily routines.

Mug tree / Similar mugs

Black floor lamp / Shelf by desk
The wall cutout looks through to my bedroom and helps share light between the spaces. My desk area has evolved since these photos — I rarely worked at the desk, so I repurposed that spot for a TV stand instead.

Daybed / Ottoman / Rug / Similar dining chairs

My dining table is a drop-leaf pedestal style, which is ideal for a small apartment. I often use it as a desk as well. The flexibility of the drop leaves helps when I need extra surface space.

White metal bookshelf
This daybed used to be my main bed in a much smaller room. I bought it planning it would double as seating in a future space, and it has worked perfectly as both a couch and a guest bed when friends visit.

String of pearls vase / Little Women book
I often struggle with keeping plants alive, but my string of pearls has been thriving — which feels like a small victory!

Bunny planter / Perfectly Imperfect book
I seem to collect quirky animal art and accessories — they add personality and make the space feel joyful.

My apartment is often where my mom, sister, and I meet for work because it’s calm and distraction-free. Someday I hope to have my own small white dog, but for now I’m happy being the “dog aunt” to family pets.

Similar white metal beds / Mint pharmacy lamp / Copper string lights
This is the bedroom area. I appreciate the open layout of my studio — it feels spacious without a door dividing the spaces. The bed’s footboard provides a subtle visual separation that I love.
I have room for a bookshelf and two nightstands, which was a pleasant surprise when I toured the apartment. I use one shelf as a small oils station to choose what to diffuse at night.

Floral measuring cup / Oil rack

The double doors reveal my washer and dryer — having side-by-side units was an unexpected perk and a welcome convenience. It’s a small thing that makes apartment life easier.

When I toured the apartment, I expected stacked laundry. The side-by-side setup was a pleasant surprise and definitely felt like a grown-up milestone.

Straight ahead from the main area is my entryway.

Framed cactus art / Whale art / IKEA wardrobe frame with Bergsbo door and gold handle
The bathroom is off the entry and is still a work in progress, so I don’t have a tour of it yet. For the entry I kept a small table to drop keys and mail, and a leaning frame helps conceal an electrical box behind it.

Budget decorating tip: framing a sheet of patterned gift wrap can create large, inexpensive artwork that looks intentional and brightens a wall.

Dip-dyed stool

That wraps up the apartment tour — thanks so much for looking around with me. If you want more frequent updates, follow me on Instagram for stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and daily apartment life.
