I know how much we all love home tours, so today I’m sharing a tour of the charming Seabrook beach cottage we stayed in for a few days this summer. This house belongs to our friend Cassie, who has contributed guest posts here before and whose kids’ room organization ideas appear in my book Simply Home.

We were excited to be among the first guests in their new vacation rental, Grove Cottage. It’s utterly adorable and full of thoughtful details that make it a delightful place to stay.
If you decide to rent their vacation home, let them know I sent you! 🙂 You can find rental details on the Seabrook website and see more on the Grove Cottage Instagram.
This home is located in Seabrook, the same picturesque Washington beach town we visited a few years ago. The community has grown since our last trip, but it remains a perfect spot for families — with shops, restaurants, bike paths, a pool, seasonal events and miles of beach for relaxing or playing.
Whether you want a quiet getaway or a family reunion, Seabrook and this cottage are wonderful choices. You can stroll the streets, cozy up by the fireplace on cool days, read, explore the shore, or enjoy the community activities.

Many Seabrook homes have a Nantucket feel adapted to the Pacific Northwest — a combination I adore. Each neighborhood has its own personality, and everywhere you look there are small, charming details. I kept saying “It’s so cute here!” the whole time.

Cassie has created a warm, welcoming space that feels like a true family getaway. Since it’s also their vacation home, the cottage is layered with thoughtful touches and cozy finishes that make guests feel completely at home.
There were countless small luxuries and practical amenities that stood out during our stay.
Highlights I noticed and appreciated:
- High-quality coffee maker and a separate brew station for convenience.
- Tea kettle with a selection of teas.
- A Staub cast iron pot for soups and communal cooking.
- Frame TVs that blend into the decor.
- Good-quality speakers for music and ambiance.
- Thoughtful kid-friendly items — games, paint books, sippy cups, dishes and toys.
- Dog-friendly details including toys and outdoor space — our dogs loved the selection of balls and toys provided.
- Puzzles, books, cookbooks and design volumes to browse.
- White noise machines for restful sleep.
- Bikes available for rides around the village.
- Cozy throws and layered textiles throughout the home.
- Multiple outdoor options: a BBQ, fire pit, porch rocking chairs and a fenced yard.
- A hot tub (we didn’t have time to use it this visit but it’s there for future stays).
- Curated boutique touches like quality soaps and clean-ingredient toiletries.
Every room showed care in styling — pretty wallpaper, interesting light fixtures, antiques, and comfortable furniture. I even spotted items similar to things I have at home, which made the space feel especially familiar and inviting.

Now for the tour photos — prepare for cuteness overload! I’ve also noted many of the sources and similar items that inspired the cottage’s look.

They even had art cards displayed in a bowl at the dining table — a simple, lovely touch.

The mudroom entrance at the back of the house was perfect for dogs, bags, boots and hanging coats — practical and stylish.
