disclaimer: the women in this photo were the ones in the hall at Blissdom at the time we took the photo. There are many other wonderful home bloggers and decorators!

As I mingled with these inspiring home bloggers at Blissdom, I was struck by how similar yet distinct we all are. Each of us loves our homes, but we each bring our own perspective on living well and finding beauty in everyday life.

I find inspiration in every one of these women through their blogs. It isn’t always about agreeing with every idea they share (though I often do), but about witnessing their creativity, voice, and passion. I visit their blogs to borrow a bit of that energy and fresh perspective to brighten my own day.

They inspire me to become a better version of myself simply by being who they are. I don’t need to be like them or as popular; I can simply be inspired by their work. Each week they offer something generous from the heart — a new idea, a fresh take on an old concept, or a small spark of encouragement. Their example pushes me to try new things and gives me confidence to share my own voice.

That’s why I feel genuine support for all of these women, both those pictured and many others. Although blogging can feel competitive, and some may worry about supporting a “rival” or feel threatened by another blog’s success, I usually see it differently. I celebrate women who share their talents and lives. It takes courage to put yourself out there, and these women do it regularly with grace and creativity. Their presence is uplifting and motivating.

If you’ve considered starting a blog but worry it’s too late because so many already exist, rest assured there is room for everyone. Blogging isn’t a contest to have the most traffic, the most followers, or the most polished photos. It’s about being yourself, telling your story, and connecting with others. Everyone can find their audience and build a supportive community, whether you write or simply read.

You have unique experiences and passions to share that others can learn from.

Whether you share your gifts online, at church, at work, through a PTA, or in any community, you can make a difference in someone’s life by opening your heart and telling your story.

As a blog reader, your role is invaluable. Your comments, shares, and even quiet encouragement mean a great deal to the writer. Thank you for being part of this community.

I’m grateful you’re part of blogland, whether you read, share, or do both. I hope you find as much inspiration from these women online as I do.
