Seabrook is an utterly charming coastal town, full of homes with character. I adore weathered beach cottages — they remind me of Nantucket dreams but are much closer to home. After a drive or walk through neighborhoods like this, I often come away inspired, imagining small changes I could make or larger ideas for the future. Sometimes I even scroll through real estate apps just for fun. You know the feeling: a stroll sparks ideas for a new porch lantern, a picket fence, or simply a fresh coat of paint on the door.
When I get carried away by the daydream of moving, I pause and think about what it is that drew me in. Often the things I love can be incorporated into my own home over time — a new garden sign, a cluster of hydrangeas, or a colorful front door. Other ideas are easy weekend projects, like adding a lantern by the entry or planting daisies along a white picket fence.
Would you like to walk around Seabrook with me and take in the curb appeal details that make this seaside community so delightful?
At the end of the post I’ll share curb appeal ideas and some favorite exterior decor picks to help you recreate this coastal look.

A few curb appeal elements I love from these beach homes:
Lanterns flanking entrances or hanging by porches give an inviting, timeless glow.
Flags add a festive, personal touch to a home’s exterior.
Quaint house name plaques — everything from “Forget Me Knot Cottage” to playful custom signs — make homes feel unique.
Small cast-iron garden signs and decorative stakes add charm to flower beds and pathways.
White picket fences bordered by hydrangeas and daisies lend that classic seaside cottage look.
Adirondack chairs and porch rockers provide relaxed seating and instant curb appeal.
Nautical or beach-themed accents, like starfish placed in windowpanes, reinforce the coastal vibe.
Well-designed, charming garage doors and round windows add architectural interest.
Fun, colorful pots, cupolas, and weather vanes add personality and a finishing touch.
A pop of color on a front door, wood shutters, trellises, and decorative door knockers create welcoming detail.
Clear, attractive house numbers and thoughtfully chosen doormats help complete the look.
String lights and seasonal wreaths on doors make exteriors feel festive and lived-in.
What else do you notice when you walk through a neighborhood like this?
