HHello and welcome to the first day of fall! I’m so excited—boots are officially back and the season for cozying up has begun. Whether you keep your boots on or kick them off, make yourself at home. I love this time of year for nesting, layering textures, and bringing warmth into the home.

If my home tour feels familiar, that’s because I share fall updates every year. This time I’m joining a blogger home tour to give a few additional peeks at how my rooms are shaping up for the season. Thanks for stopping by—glad you’re here!
If you’re coming from the previous stop on the tour, welcome to new visitors from Rain on a Tin Roof.

I finally filled my glass lamps with seasonal elements—pinecones and cinnamon sticks—and I love how they warm the glass and add instant fall character. It’s a simple update that feels seasonal and cozy without much effort.

These fillable lamps are so fun because I can change the contents with the seasons. I’ve shared ideas before for styling glass lamps, and now I plan to swap these out regularly—an easy way to add fresh seasonal flair without a lot of fuss.
This year I’ve been enjoying traditional fall tones—soft browns, rust, muted greens and maroons layered over a neutral base. With mostly neutral rooms, it’s easy to experiment with color and follow seasonal whims. Adding a few touches of rust or green against grays and blues feels cozy and just right for autumn.

Here’s a closer look at the mantel I showed in the earlier tour. The Restoration Hardware mirror acts as a calm centerpiece, allowing simple seasonal accents around it to feel balanced. I prefer to keep things straightforward—let the mirror anchor the space and add a few personal touches.

One of my favorite parts of preparing for fall is layering in blankets. I’ve always wanted a cabinet full of beautiful throws like you might see in a boutique display, but for now I’m starting small with a few cherished blankets on a shelf. They’re perfect for chilly evenings and make the living room feel inviting.

In the kitchen I’m already thinking about warm breakfasts—oatmeal with cinnamon, brown sugar and walnuts feels like a seasonal treat. Fall also inspires baking and styling open shelves with small seasonal accents. Fresh ingredients and simple displays make the kitchen feel like the heart of the home during cooler months.

A thrifted blue-and-white vase has been holding fall blooms for weeks. I love foraging snippets from the yard and picking up seasonal flowers when I can—fresh bouquets and natural elements bring immediate mood and charm to a room.

Shorter days mean candlelight, and I don’t mind the darker evenings when they allow for cozy candlelit moments. Simple trays with pumpkins and candles create warm, memorable vignettes that feel just right for fall entertaining and quiet nights in.

In the bedroom it’s time for sweater pillows and cable-knit throws to make the bed feel extra snug. Layering texture with soft knits is an easy way to update the space for the season and create a restful, cozy retreat.

Almost at the end of this part of the tour—here’s the entry. My fiddle-leaf fig is still thriving, which is always a small victory. The entry sets the tone for the home, and a few seasonal touches can make it feel welcoming as soon as you walk in.
I’m also continuing my series celebrating fall with 21 days of small ideas and moments that make the season special. I’ve shared the first day so far and will be posting more over the coming weeks—little reminders to enjoy the textures, scents, and routines that make autumn unique.
