Christmas Candy Canes in a Jar!
Several readers asked about the candy canes I used on my Christmas table, so I wanted to share this version. These are some of the most impressive candy canes I’ve seen — they’re huge and very festive. They’re store-bought but labeled as handmade, and yes, they’re edible.
Because they were so large they wouldn’t fit into a standard mason jar, I arranged them in one of my hurricane vases instead. The scale makes a cheerful display all on its own: bold red-and-white stripes that instantly brighten a tabletop or entryway. The arrangement is simple to assemble and makes a playful seasonal accent.
For the base of the jar I used faux snow rather than the Epsom salts I often reach for. The faux snow gives a softer, more wintry look that complements the candy canes and helps them stay upright in the vase. You could also use glass beads, decorative filler, or real snow if you prefer a different texture.
I picked these candy canes up at Costco, and they’re individually wrapped, which makes them convenient for gifting or attaching to packages as a sweet finishing touch. They’d work well as party favors, stocking stuffers, or a simple hostess gift.
Love ’em!
This is an easy, cheerful holiday display that adds instant seasonal charm with minimal effort. Try mixing candy canes of different sizes, or combine them with evergreen sprigs, ribbon, or ornaments for a customized look that suits your decor.
