I set up an Easter table last week just for fun as I prepare to host this year. Sometimes I like to set the table early so I can see what works and plan which linens, centerpieces, and dishes I’ll use. It helps me decide what needs washing and what else to add. Other times I wing it at the last minute — that can be fun too!

I love mixing patterns, colors and dishes, which is one reason we included glass cabinets, open shelves, and little display nooks in our renovation. We don’t have a large house or abundant storage, so being able to see and use the pieces I’ve collected matters to me.

This year I might squeeze three more people around this table, so I’ll adjust the place settings. For bigger gatherings I plan to set up a second table — the banquette was a conscious choice to free up floor space for exactly that.

Last year I set an Easter table in the middle of our renovation chaos, so I’m excited to have a finished dining area this time. You make the best of what you have — I set the table amid sawdust last year and dreamed of the finished space.
Now we have a cozy dining nook to gather in, and I’m looking forward to making new holiday memories here.
Are you hosting Easter this year?
Below are more photos of the table and the full source list appears at the end of the post.

I couldn’t resist the little book planter — it even has a drainage hole if you want to plant in it. It felt like a fresh, unexpected spring accent for the table.

The ceramic tiered egg is beautiful and practical — each section opens, so you can tuck in small treats, gifts, or snacks.
