Coastal Beachfront House Tour: How to Recreate the Look

Hi friends! It’s Courtney. I recently stayed at a charming Victorian waterfront beach house in Washington with a group of friends, and I wanted to share a little tour. The home felt straight out of a coastal-grandmother mood board — serene, classic, and full of lovely vintage details.

The house was adorable as-is, but I couldn’t help picturing changes I’d make if it were mine. Sometimes a stay in a memorable space nudges your imagination in fresh directions.

My mom has often talked on the blog about finding inspiration from different places to shape your own style. When you step into a space that feels unique, it’s a good reminder to look for details you might not otherwise notice.

Seeing the stained glass, Tiffany-style chandeliers, patterned wallpaper, and intricate trim in this house made it especially memorable. Even if you don’t copy the exact style, you can borrow the feeling — a cozy breakfast nook, a hanging porch swing, or a sweet alcove bed can recreate the same warmth in your own home.

I put together a few mood boards at the end of this post with similar decor sources if you want to recreate the look. That bedroom above was my favorite room in the house!

Enjoy the tour — I also shared a short video tour on Instagram if you want a quick walkthrough.

When a room is this charming, you take a mirror selfie — right? I loved the mint/sage trim and closet doors; if you’re searching for a similar paint, Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore feels close.

I adored the doors and the crystal doorknobs scattered throughout the house — small vintage touches that make a big difference.

The stained glass accents were beautiful and popped up throughout the home. I especially loved the cozy breakfast nook — the Tiffany-style lighting and the inviting table made it a favorite spot.

This corner felt like the coziest spot in the house — perfect for board games and long conversations.

One of my goals for a future home: a hanging porch swing. This house has such a classic porch vibe — a swing would be perfect.

The trim work and archways throughout the house were stunning. Those architectural details give the home a timeless character.

There was a charming built-in bed nook that invited you to curl up and read — the type of feature that feels both practical and storybook-cozy.

One fun surprise: a hot tub room off the back of the house. It added a relaxed, indulgent layer to the weekend.

Several of the bathrooms felt original to the house, with vintage tile and wallpaper that felt authentic and lovingly preserved.

Crystal doorknobs, beadboard platform beds, cotton quilted shams, removable vintage floral wallpaper, waffle weave blankets, rattan armchairs, and glass-lidded rattan boxes were all details I noticed and loved. The paint on many trims felt similar to Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore.

Tiffany-style chandeliers and stained-glass accents gave the home a romantic vintage flair.
