Christmas Open House!
I love imagining people around the world, cozy at home, decorating and nesting for the Christmas season. Though most of us live too far apart to visit each other’s homes in person, we can still share our holiday spaces virtually through online events known as “Linky Parties.”
Jack was excluded from helping with the Thanksgiving meal preparations.
You’re invited to a virtual Christmas open house for The Inspired Room readers the week of December 12th! Bring your cookies, bring your hot cocoa, and come share your decorated home — even if it’s not completely finished yet. This will be a relaxed, festive way to visit other homes and pick up fresh inspiration.
You can simply browse other participants’ homes or link up your own. You don’t need a blog to join; a public Facebook album, Flickr gallery, or any online gallery where we can view your space works fine. Once you link up, everyone who joins can visit your home and you can explore theirs — it’s a lovely way to feel connected without traveling.

If you’re still decorating, don’t worry — you can link up what you’ve finished so far or add more any day that week. Setting December 12th as a target gives you a nice two-week runway before Christmas and provides a little motivation to get moving.
There will likely be two link-ups that day: one for Christmas Home Tours and another for DIY Christmas projects. Feel free to share in both if you’d like.
