Welcome to the 6th annual Fall Nesting series
Can you believe it? Fall is here. The nights are getting crisp and cool, leaves are starting to change, and soon we’ll be curled up in front of the fire with a warm drink and a good book. It’s a favorite time of year — perfect for slowing down, layering textures, and cozying up the home. Join me for 31 Days of Falling for Fall as we celebrate the season and fall in love with our homes again.

I adore the gradual shift of the seasons, especially autumn. Little changes — a pine cone here, a cozy blanket there — build a comforting sense of anticipation. I prefer a slow evolution into fall rather than an all-at-once transformation. That way the process stays enjoyable and creative instead of feeling like a sudden obligation.

My fall decorating tends to be simple and natural: velvet pumpkins on the mantel, a few mums on the porch, or a bowl of apples and pine cones on the table. Minimal touches feel right for my style — I want to sense and feel the season, not be overwhelmed by themed decor or too many new things. Subtle texture and added warmth are my go-to approaches for creating a cozy nest.

Fall is about comfort and slowing down. I enjoy layering natural accents and soft textiles so the house becomes more welcoming and functional for the colder months ahead. Simple, authentic details matter more to me than elaborate holiday crafting.

This series is about contentment and creating a warm, meaningful home from the inside out. As the world gets busier with projects and endless ideas, I find myself wanting to retreat and intentionally enjoy this season on my own terms. Fall Nesting is about savoring the small things that make home feel cozy and loved.

Even with a busy life, this year feels like it will be the most peaceful and settled autumn we’ve had since moving here. I’m excited to slow down, nest, and share ideas for making homes more inviting for fall.
I’m looking forward to Fall Nesting with you and discovering ways to fall more in love with our homes.

What will I be posting about for 31 Days?
During the 31 Days series I’ll share fall inspiration for the home: cozy decorating tips, simple projects I’m doing around the house and yard, easy recipes, organizing ideas, and other seasonal touches that make a home feel warm and ready for autumn. Expect approachable, low-stress ideas you can adapt to your own life and style.

PS. I also shared a post about favorite fall textures with a friend to celebrate her new baby — a small collaboration highlighting the tactile elements that make autumn so comforting.
