Charming Homes in Autumn
Which autumn home speaks to you most? The first two featured here were actually places my family and I have lived—our cozy English cottage and my parents’ home—yet any of these scenes would be a delight to call my own.
We built so many warm memories in that snug cottage, raising three children and enjoying the small rhythms of daily life there. Those years were full of ordinary, beautiful moments that still feel vivid: pushing a stroller down tree-lined streets, watching leaves tumble as we biked to Grandma and Grandpa’s, and sharing quiet evenings at home.
I often find myself nostalgic for those simple days. The seasons marked our time—autumn with its crisp air and rustling leaves felt especially magical for making family memories.
Today, my parents live with us in our Tiny Cottage, and we’re looking forward to new joys on the horizon: soon we’ll welcome our own little grandson. If you missed the announcement about becoming a grandmother, I shared it previously on my blog.
People say time is a thief, but I prefer to think of it as a gift when we pause to savor each season. Autumn, in particular, invites reflection and gratitude for the small, meaningful moments we collect.
