Iwanted to drop in with a few quick updates and some happy news about Jack. First, thank you for the warm response to the tips on organizing children’s rooms. Many of you asked about the picture I shared in that post—the one with the bus—so I’ll post a closer view soon. I don’t have the original art source, but it looks like a great DIY project if you’re inspired to recreate it.
On Tuesday I’ll reveal my finished kitchen — I’m so excited to share it now that the project is complete, so be sure to check back for that. But before then, a bit of fun news about Jack and a silly Easter photo to make you smile.

You all adore Jack, and here’s a reason why: he’s made it to the final round in the Pup of the Year contest. After several rounds of voting, the final matchup is between Jack and Hugo. It’s a close contest, but who could resist Jack’s grin?

Jack has brought so much joy to our family and to others. I would love for him to earn the title of Pup of the Year. You can cast a vote for him on Facebook under the FINAL ROUND photo. Voting closes Sunday night.
Whether he wins or finishes runner-up, Jack is a wonderful companion and I’m grateful for the kindness and support he receives. If you haven’t checked his blog recently, he’s posted some very funny updates. You can find his blog and his Facebook page for the latest stories. A personal favorite is his post about the incident with his toy, Big Red — it’s both amusing and endearing.
Finally, a friend shared a hilarious photo of her twins meeting the Easter Bunny and gave me permission to share it. At first the kids were all smiles and waves — until they realized they were sitting on his lap. The surprised faces were priceless and the moment quickly turned into pure comedy.
The kids are adorable, and the photo brought so many smiles when I posted it on Facebook. These are the small, funny moments that become family memories — someday they’ll laugh about it too.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend with your family, and that you take a moment to reflect on the meaning and significance of what happened that first Easter over 2,000 years ago.
