I’m thrilled to finally share this sweet Christmas video with you (watch above). It highlights a timeless holiday project: DIY snow globes, inspired by my book The Inspired Room. If I’m making a craft, it has to be simple, quick, and cute with minimal supplies or tools — and these snow globes fit the bill perfectly.
This year I’ve been savoring the slow process of adding little touches around the house each day. I prefer a simple approach, yet I love how small additions make the whole home feel more magical. I’m looking forward to sharing my Christmas house tour here on the blog soon. If you missed last year’s tour and video, you can find it on the site.
Whether your holiday style is understated or you enjoy creating a full-on winter wonderland, remember your Christmas should be exactly what you want it to be. There isn’t a single right way to decorate — choose what brings you joy.

If you’re keeping things simple this season, relish it. The feeling of Christmas can come from experiences as much as from decor — warm drinks, festive music, baking cookies, or cozy winter scents all add to the spirit. Decorations are only one way to capture the mood.
If you want a little extra magic, go for it: add more twinkling lights, place a small tree in the bedroom, make paper chains or snowflakes, or try a DIY snow globe. Small, creative projects can make a big difference in how festive your home feels.
Whatever your holidays look like, I hope they bring you joy and lasting memories.
Happy weekend, friends!
