I’m a homebody through and through, but I still love to get away now and then. My ideal getaway is a quaint hotel in a charming town: a cozy room with fluffy bedding, books piled high, good food and salty coastal air. Add a quiet porch or a view of the water and I’m content. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard — it’s on my list and I’m determined to make it happen.

Even when travel felt more spontaneous, I tried to bring that same sense of escape into my everyday life. I like to think of my home as my favorite destination. Framing your living space that way motivates you to tackle projects you’ve been postponing and to add small touches that make ordinary days feel like a mini vacation.

If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go? Which room in your house already feels like a vacation retreat?
