Will You Be My Neighbor? Announcement and How to Join

Blessed Are They Who See Beautiful Things in Humble Places - Camille Pissarro Quote - The Inspired Room

HHey friends! I’ve been excited to share this for a long time. I’ve had a secret project I couldn’t talk about, and now I can finally give you a sneak peek. I’m launching something very dear to my heart, and because you’ve been such supportive readers, I wanted you to see it before the public launch.

As the blogger behind The Inspired Room for eight years and the author of Love the Home You Have, I love sharing my home and life with anyone who wants to read. Blogging has introduced me to a wonderful community of people who care about home and hospitality.

But more than sharing my stories, I’ve always wanted to get to know your stories, too. I dream of having you all as neighbors—sharing daily life and home moments. Since moving everyone in next door isn’t realistic, I decided to create a virtual neighborhood where we can connect. I’m thrilled to introduce Home Love Stories, a community site I created for sharing, connection, and encouragement. Home Love Stories - Community - The Inspired Room

This site was built as a gift to readers and friends who want to belong to a warm, welcoming community. You don’t need a blog to join, and you don’t have to be a social media expert or have a huge following. Home Love Stories is for people who want to be among kindred spirits—house-shaped-heart people who enjoy finding beauty in humble places.

Home Love Stories - For House Shaped Heart People - The Inspired RoomMy goal is to bring back the feel of old school blogging. No pressure, no polished perfection required. Real homes, real people, honest stories. Blogging has become hard work and often feels like a production; Home Love Stories is intended to be simple, authentic, and fun.

Home Love Stories. It’s FREE. It’s fun. It’s authentic.

It’s for people who want to be in community with others striving to show love to the home we have.

What will we share on Home Love Stories?

  • Little touches that make your home special
  • Daily snapshots—what you’re doing at home today
  • Decorating or remodeling projects and adventures
  • Peeks at favorite rooms or cozy corners
  • Home organization tips and projects
  • Design questions—ask for opinions or help from the community
  • Friendship with other house-shaped-heart people

We’ll also host community events—block parties, drive-bys, fall nesting gatherings, house tours, and more. Stay tuned!

Before the full public launch, I need a few adventurous readers to help test the site. Next week I’ll share more about how the community will work and how we’ll use it as a rallying place. I’m planning fun events and a 31-day Love Your Home challenge soon, and I’d love for you to be part of the early group to help get things rolling.
