Many people enjoy refreshing their rooms with the seasons. Whether you use slipcovers, rotate pillows and rugs, or swap out accessories, adjusting your decor lets your home reflect the outdoors and the mood of the moment.

Not everyone feels the need to change things constantly, and that’s perfectly fine—preferring a consistent look can simply mean you feel settled and confident in your style.

Bright, airy summer rooms often inspire me to introduce playful colors and coastal accents. In summer I love pops of citrus, wicker textures, and fresh flowers that bring a relaxed, beachy vibe indoors. I usually lean toward cozier fall looks, but there’s something appealing about both seasons: crisp, cool air paired with sunny days makes autumn feel like the best of both worlds.

For the most part my home stays balanced throughout the year, and only a few accessory swaps are needed to shift the mood from season to season without major changes.

Style Tip: Identifying the season that appeals to you most helps shape your personal decorating choices. If you enjoy updating your rooms frequently, embrace seasonal changes. If you prefer continuity, choose season-neutral pieces that transition easily from fall to summer with minimal adjustments.

So, which season suits your style?
