SIt was a busy, inspiring weekend for our family. I took a quick trip to tour my favorite homes at this year’s Street of Dreams and brought back a first batch of photos. I snapped hundreds of pictures and can’t wait to share more home details and inspiration in upcoming posts. Above is a little sneak peek—gorgeous, right?

Besides drooling over beautiful houses, I also want to introduce Leo. He’s an 11-week-old labradoodle who joined our family through a series of happy, unexpected blessings. We feel very fortunate to have him.
Have you ever seen such a sweet face?

We brought Leo home to meet his “big sister” Bella this weekend. His owners are my daughter Kylee and her husband Lance, and Bella seemed pleased by the newcomer—though she probably didn’t realize he would be sticking around for good. Ha.
Jack and Lily haven’t officially met him yet, but they’ll be thrilled to have a new “cousin” to romp with. I’m already picturing the fun these four pups will have together.

Leo is incredibly sweet—mellow and affectionate. He rode home quietly and even slept through the night, which makes us think he’s settling in well.

It already feels like he belongs here.

I’ll be sharing the pups’ antics around the house on the blog. You can also follow Jack on his Facebook page for updates from his perspective. Because we now have several dogs, we created an Instagram account to share their everyday adventures together.
If you’d like to follow along, find them at @DoodlesAtHome on Instagram and Facebook.
Speaking of adventures at home, besides ALL THE PUPS, this coming week will be super exciting around here!
We’ve been waiting a long time, and FINALLY…

THIS IS HAPPENING: our house will be power washed this week, and next week we will be living in a white brick house. I can’t believe it’s finally happening, but it is.
PS. If you experienced trouble reaching the blog recently, I’m sorry about that—the site went down briefly but should be back up and running now.
