Holiday Wreath Before and After: Stylish Ways to Dress Yours Up

I love to reuse what I have.

Being frugal and resourceful is important to me, so I try to refresh what I already own instead of buying new pieces. This year I gave an old wreath a simple holiday update that felt fresh and festive.

Here’s what the wreath looked like before the makeover (forgive the less-than-perfect photo).

I had tucked this apple wreath in the garage last year and almost forgot about it. It’s been a favorite for years, but I was ready for a change.

The update was quick and easy: I removed the faux apples and tucked in several green Christmas ornaments, adding a small coastal accent for a touch of personality. No complicated steps—just rearrange and replace. If a project requires a lot of effort, I usually don’t bother, so I appreciate simple transformations like this.

When the holidays are over I’ll simply take out the green ornaments and the wreath will return to a neutral look, ready for the rest of the year.

For those who noticed, I’ve already moved the plate I shared yesterday. Things around here don’t stay the same for long.

I know I’ve shown that little corner of my dining room more than once—thanks for indulging me. I took a few new photos from different angles to show the paint and will post those soon.

I also refreshed another wreath that hangs above my mantel; I’ll share that makeover as well.

Linking up with a before-and-after party to celebrate small, budget-friendly updates.

Happy holly-day!
