One thing I’ve noticed since sharing these Home Style Saturdays posts is how quickly the weeks pass. Time seems to speed up: I was out of town recently and actually forgot to schedule the Home Style Saturday post. The weekend slipped by before I realized it. (I’ve since published last week’s HSS post so you can catch up on that one.)
Even with the rush of daily life, I’m making a stronger effort to slow the pace and be more intentional about each week. In my book Dwelling I talk about caring for the whole self—mind, body, and soul—as well as tending to your environment. You can’t truly care for yourself if you are constantly putting everything else first.
After spending many seasons feeling anxious, drained, or run down—I’ve managed symptoms of hypothyroidism for many years—I’ve learned to pay close attention to how I feel. Slowing down gives me space to notice what needs adjustment so I can maintain my best health and well-being.
Taking time to care for yourself really can make a meaningful difference.
I hope you’ll be able to slow down and take some time for YOU this weekend, friend! <3
