Hey friends! Since the start of the year I’ve been constantly rearranging furniture. Anyone else? I recently moved a piece into the dining room and plan to share more photos soon. Being home more has definitely made me notice what I want to change, but it’s also about adapting to new ways we’re using our spaces this year.
You might relate: first we made room for my daughter Courtney to move into our lower level so she could save money. We thought we had the layout figured out, but then my son returned home from his dorm because of the quarantine. He brought back everything we had shipped off just months before, and that meant more shifting of furniture and belongings throughout the house.
So much for simplifying and downsizing—at least for now! When family members move back in, even the best plans need adjusting. We don’t have a barn to stash extra pieces, so everything gets shuffled within the house. It’s funny, a little chaotic, and definitely time consuming.

Despite the juggling, the good news is we’re all healthy and together during quarantine, which I’m grateful for. This extended time at home has given me the chance to rethink how we use our rooms and to make practical changes with what we already own. I love the process of organizing and reimagining our spaces—progress feels great.
Speaking of furniture, I found a great decor sale and wanted to share a few of my favorites and similar finds I own or love.
There seem to be ongoing deals right now, so if you’re ready to invest in a few pieces, it’s a good time to refresh your home. At the bottom of this post you’ll find a roundup of favorites that are included in the sale.

I love these wall hooks. They keep us organized and help free up space in our small coat closet year-round. They’re available in different finishes, and I’ve found them incredibly practical. I’m also eyeing a brass style for another hallway.

We’ve been spending more time in the living room, so I appreciate a comfortable, durable sofa. My slipcovered sofa has been a favorite—machine washable, customizable fabrics, and built to last. I have the bench seat, slope arm, deeper depth, in a warm white denim, and it’s held up beautifully for years.
Above the sofa I use a mix of baskets collected over time. If you prefer a coordinated set, pre-made wall basket sets are available and can give a similar layered look.
A wood and metal tray is another staple for us. I use one on the coffee table for serving and display because it’s easy to move around. A brass floor lamp nearby adds warm light and style.
Our leather ottoman has been a long-time family favorite. Leather pieces tend to improve with age and are practical for homes with dogs. There are several similar ottomans and leather furniture options currently on sale if you’re looking for durable, stylish choices.

My leather sofa remains one of my all-time favorites. It has softened and gained character over the years, and it continues to be comfortable and resilient. Leather is a practical choice that works well with pets and daily life.

One small decor piece I get asked about often is a footed wood stand. I couldn’t find the exact one, but similar footed trays are great for corralling items on countertops and adding texture. We use one to hold the coffee grinder and other everyday items, keeping the kitchen tidy and styled.

I’ve been refreshing the living room with blue-and-white pillows for spring. Reversible mudcloth-style pillows are a favorite because they offer two looks in one and add pattern and texture easily.

If you need a versatile piece of furniture, a good dresser is hard to beat. I’ve used mine in the living room, guest room, and bedroom—dressers work well in almost any space and provide both storage and a classic look.
Are you doing as much rearranging at home as we are? Tell me so I know we’re not the only ones having fun (and a little chaos) with it!
